System Connection Precautions

Notice
  • The battery must be used in conjunction with a compatible Sunsynk hybrid inverter. The system needs to establish communication with the inverter to ensure the battery operates in the optimal lithium battery mode. It needs to activate communication with the compatible hybrid inverter before commissioning.
  • Avoid mistaking the use of positive and negative cables between PCS and battery, and between batteries in a parallel chain.

Before wiring, remove the protective hood to carry out the wire connection. Be sure to avoid cross-connection of positive and negative communication cables between the PCS and battery, and between batteries.

Preparation Before Wiring

Notice
  • When connecting to inverters or operating in parallel mode, use the cables provided in the unpacking list. If other cables must be used in special circumstances, ensure they meet all relevant standards.
  • Charged with a maximum charge current of 160 A and a matched discharge rate of 230 A for ambient temperature at 25°C ±2°C. This combined charge/discharge operating current must not exceed 160 A.
Caution

The maximum current for a single battery system is 230 A. Exceeding 230 A will cause heating of connectors and cables and may cause a fire. The recommended minimum cable cross-section is 1 AWG or 50 mm².

Preparation Before Wiring

Single Battery Connection

When batteries need to be used together in parallel, you can select different parallel modes to meet your demands.

Single Battery Connection

Parallel Mode 1 — Multiple Battery Connection

When batteries need to be used together in parallel, Parallel Mode 1 is the standard connection method. Select the parallel mode that best suits your installation requirements.

Parallel Mode 1 — Multiple Battery Connection
Notice
  • IN port: connect to the OUT terminal of the previous battery in the chain.
  • OUT port: connect to the IN terminal of the next battery in the chain, or to the PCS communication terminal for the last battery.

Grounding

Your battery system must be properly grounded. Proceed as follows:
